Note: in the case of eastern wind this route becomes challenging and difficulty increases to high. This type of wind happens very rarely.

Itinerary

The tour starts from the KayakingTours basecamp in Vadul lui Voda and goes to Corjova village. You will see a nice calm river, with very few people as you are passing only near one village, but lots of birds, cows, horses, and if you are lucky even boars. Nistru river makes a nice U-turn at the end of the route!

Before the group starts the instructions are done and each participant is trained:

• how to get in/get out the kayak
• how to pedal correctly and turn left-right
• how to stop and park the kayak etc.

After the instructions each participant signs as being responsible for himself and the other participants in his boat. Each participant carry their kayak to the river (50 meters).

The average speed on the water is about 4 to 5 km/hour during spring, and slightly lower during summer, autumn.

During your trip, the participant may stop as many times they need, to rest, and make a picnic however for the half-day route a whole trip shouldn’t take longer than 3 hours on the water. When the route finishes, each participant gives back the kayak in a clean form and helps to carry it to the trailer.

Food, drinking water & alcohol

By default, no food is arranged for the group by the organizer. Also, there is no drinkable water on the river. 

Any form of alcohol consumption on the river, or getting in the kayak being drunk is strictly prohibited, and the money paid for the tour are not returned.

Group size

Minimum group size –  2 participants. In the case of 40+ people, the estimation might be seriously different due to logistics difficulty is increased. The maximum number of attendees we can process: 100 persons on kayaks + 45 bicycles (see cycling tours).

Kids from 2.5 to 7 years old are offered a free seat in the middle section if both parents are kayaking.  Kids aged from 8 to 12 years old have a 50% discount. 13 and older are considered as adults. The minimum age for kids traveling with us is 2.5 years old. Weight of kayak: 24 kg.

Environmental & Social Responsibility
